There are many dedicated people here in JC who volunteer year-round taking care of our parks, community gardens and keeping our neighborhoods clean and well-maintained. The Great Jersey City Cleanup, hosted by the City, Keep Jersey City Beautiful and a host of dedicated volunteers, is a fun opportunity for us all to pitch in!
When: In honor of Earth Day, the 4th Annual Great Jersey Cleanup will take place on Saturday, April 13, from 10am – 2pm.
Where: Volunteers will meet up at these locations throughout Jersey City – Audubon Park, Lincoln Park, Journal Square Plaza, Pershing Field, Leonard Gordon Park, Riverview Park, Hamilton Park and Arlington Park.

Why: Come together with your Citywide community and help out cleaning parks and streets, maintaining trees and planters, and sorting out recyclable and non-recyclables items.
Neighborhood/block association or community groups will select a perimeter to clean, and individual volunteers will clean a two-three block radius (parks, alleys, main and side streets). This event is rain or shine, so be prepared!
Keep Jersey City Beautiful (KJCB) is the very first affiliate of Keep America Beautiful (KAB) in the State of New Jersey. KAB is a leading national nonprofit that inspires and educates people to take action every day to improve and beautify their community by mobilizing volunteers for civic engagement.
Hope to see you on April 13!
