301 Collective has the Goods

A fabulous new retail store is open in JC just in time for shopping local this holiday season and beyond.

301 Collective is located at the corner of Coles and First Street at the intersection of Downtown and the Village. It’s in the 800 square foot spot that used to house LaKoet Salon which has relocated itself to 160 Newark on the Pedestrian Plaza.

301 Collective opened right after Thanksgiving weekend, and already the buzz is palpable. They stock housewares, beauty and wellness products, unique clothing pieces for women and children, bags, jewelry, plants and a whole lot more. We especially fell in love with some pink and green accent pillows (just the right size), antique-looking small face mirrors with stands and delicate glass blown candleholders in jewel tones. It is truly the type of shop where you can find something for anyone on your list and yourself, of course. We also loved the super tasteful and unique assortment of holiday accessories and decorations and were told that there is more coming into the store in the next week.

Also in the works – a 301 Collective apothecary/lounge which will be in the rear of the shop. This will be a gathering spot for classes with professional instruction about essential oils - what their uses are and how to create your own oils and blends, etc.  While these classes are going to be expertly led, they are also very informal and wine and snacks will be accompanying each session. We really can’t get enough of bespoke boutiques like this in our neighborhoods and can’t wait to watch this new small business flourish.

Winter hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 11am to 7pm, Sunday from 11am to 4pm, and Closed Monday and Tuesday.
