Busy Bee Organics has opened its first permanent retail location! What began in 2014 as a super-healthy and delicious meal delivery service is now a delightful sit-down café - and very welcomed addition to the burgeoning foodie scene in this neighborhood.

Owned by Michelle Berkes and staffed by a talented team of fellow natural food chefs and nutritionists, Busy Bee offers locally sourced, plant-and protein-rich healthy meals on the go for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The café also serves great fair trade, organic coffee and teas from Equal Exchange, along with sweet jars of honey and homemade nut butters – perfect to take home or as a gift.

Inside the café, you’ll find a small sit-down counter, refrigerated grab-and-go food section, and plenty of ready-to-try treats. The café has a cozy, country vibe – full of warm wood, lush sunflowers and plants, which counter nicely to the scenic big City views of the Manhattan skyline. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, and/or gluten-free, Busy Bee Organics has you covered. Following the Paleo diet? Be assured all the meat and cheese added to your meal is responsibly raised and of the highest quality.

Eating healthy and supporting a local, woman-owned business – there is nothing not to love about this venture. And for fans of Busy Bee’s ever-popular delivery service, it’s still available, with many enhancements to come, including weekly meetups at the Café.

Weekly menus are updated each Friday – check out the Busy Bee website for details.

As we head into the Holiday Season and its attendant indulgences, we will sure to make weekly meals from Busy Bee Organics a part of our regular routine. See you there!
