A New District Comes to Town

Does anyone recall the District Lounge at 210 Harborside? Pre-COVID, it was a fun albeit quiet place to drink and shoot pool, the kind of place to hang at before or after your ultimate destination. It closed permanently during the pandemic, but has very recently opened under new management, with a well-curated food menu that is as much of a draw as the extensive list of wines, spirits and Specialty and Classic District cocktails.

Corporate Executive Chef Cedric Gayon is the founder of Five Tastes Catering and worked at NYC’s Eleven Madison Park and Guy Savoy Las Vegas, among other spots. The lunch menu features sushi rolls, burgers, sandwiches and pizza while at dinner, the menu extends to include a raw bar, pastas, chicken dishes and a NY Strip.

The District JC is open 7 days a week, serving lunch and dinner and with a happy hour from 4:00-6:00pm. Look out for a brunch menu coming shortly. Oh and don’t worry – besides the table seating and full bar, the pool tables are still in business.
