The 5th Annual Jersey City 4th of July Festival looks to be the most ambitious, amazing one yet!  The festivities are set to take place from 12 pm to 10pm along the Exchange Place waterfront.  Below is a breakdown of what’s happening and when, plus what you should know beforehand. Hope to see you there, and Happy 4th!

For Families and Fun Lovers of All Ages:

From 12 pm on, the 50Star Kids Carnival Area will be located on the North Side of the Festival Grounds on the Waterfront.

There will be a Bouncy House, games, rides, sweets, treats and lunch and dinner options.  It’s also adjacent to the row of food trucks, if you are looking for different grub.

Good to know tips:

-        There will be restrooms available inside the Carnival.

-        Ride tickets are available for purchase with cash only, however ATMS are available throughout the Festival grounds.

-        If you find yourself at the Carnival at sunset, you are in a prime location to view the Fireworks display!

Entertainment:

The stage, located where Montgomery Street and The Waterfront intersect, will host continuous entertainment throughout the day, culminating with a performance by headline act Snoop Dogg.  If you are looking for a good vantage point, the raised viewing platform is on the walkway, south of the stage at the waterside.

Plan Ahead to Maximize Your Fun

No Outside Alcohol is allowed (and is also not needed, there will be beer gardens and interactive drinking holes aplenty throughout the Festival grounds).

No parking is available on the Festival grounds. Vehicular traffic is restricted to only residents with valid identification in any areas past the police checkpoints.

No coolers, chairs, umbrellas, kites and balloons allowed.

Bringing a bag or backpack? Make sure it is clear.
