It’s Mozzarella Month!
Attention mozzarella purists – April is your month. April 28, to be exact. Head to Hoboken for the 12th Annual Mutz Festival. The festivities will take place under the 14th St. Viaduct from 12pm – 5pm for VIP ticket holders and 1pm-5pm for all others. Events include live music, a cannoli-eating contest, a Sinatra Singalong, a wine and beer garden, kids ‘activities and of course, mozzarella tasting from this years’ six competitors – Dolce and Salato, Lisa’s Deli, M & P Biancamano, Tony Boloney’s, Vito’s & Sun and three-time winner Vinnie Mootz. We are not going to sugarcoat it, the tickets are a little steep - $50 for General Admittance and $100 for VIP (free drinks all day), but the proceeds go to some fantastic organizations – Hoboken Bike Camp for individuals with disabilities and to Hoboken Family Alliance which supports multiple community efforts and organizations.
