Milk Sugar Love #2 Now Open in the Heights
JC Heights residents, rejoice! Milk Sugar Love, proprietors of the most ridiculously refined and delicious ice cream, have opened their second shop on 394 Palisade Ave. As with the original locale on 19 McWilliams Place in Hamilton Park, MLS is open 7 days a week, from 11:00 am – 9:00 pm.
We’re big supporters and believers of all local business owners but want to shout out that this very special business is owned by a woman who has found a brilliant and creative niche here in JC. Emma Taylor earned her stripes as a Pastry Chef in NYC (including a stint at Gramercy Tavern) before opening the original MLS, which was also inspired by her beloved summers growing up enjoying ice cream shops on the Jersey Shore.
Just in case you’ve never tasted the greatness of this ice cream, just know that it’s classic and artisanal ice cream flavors are all hand-crafted with grass-fed, organic milk and cream, and only the best local produce.
Local produce, you ask? Yes. Specialty flavors introduced this year include the super refreshing Blackberry Basil, Chocolate Rosemary, and Summer Strawberry. While both locations offer up their own specialty flavors each week, the following ever-popular flavors are always available at both locations – Vanilla Bean, Classic Chocolate, Salted Caramel (our fave), Lemon Olive Oil, Midnight Cocoa, and Strawberry.
