The Unique Minds Behind Downtowner/Darke Pines

The folks behind businesses Darke Pines Butcher/Downtowner are devoted to curated offerings and we are here for it. Since they have opened their shops, it has been super interesting to see how directional they are in their offerings.

But we are here to specifically talk about Downtowner which operates on Erie St. where Darke Pines used to live. Note: The butcher shop became a sandwich shop and then that closed. As things do. But the team offers a new concept is along the lines of a fancy pantry, a very curated list of snacks, specialty goods and condiments, non-alcoholic aperitifs and spirits, and serving dishes and pieces in retro styles (spackle print pottery, anyone?).

If you are shopping in a time bind, this is not your spot. Hours are Wednesday – Friday from 12pm – 6pm and Saturday 12pm -5pm. But if you plan ahead and are in a gift giving idea bind, then it totally is!  For what they lack in hours open they make up for in a super pleasing shopping experience.
