3 Ways to Workout with Base Gym

Darden has worked out at Base NJ for as long as he can remember, supplementing his Pilates regimen with classes, two floors of weights, cardio equipment and the friendly, supportive atmosphere at the Club. “Craig [Laskow, Base owner] is a great guy and he has been so generous to the Jersey City community over the years. And he hires great people. The front desk staff are super-friendly, the maintenance team keep the club meticulously clean and the trainers are top-notch. I miss all of them and running into friends at the gym. It has such a great social vibe that gives you that extra motivation to hit the gym”, he explains.

Base has been generously offering virtual classes throughout quarantine, and this summer began offering in-person classes on the outdoor deck. Participants are placed 6 feet apart. Masks are required if you need to go inside to get equipment, or if you go to the indoor café. They are not required to wear when the workout begins. Classes are twenty dollars a session and open to both members and non-members.

Base has also just recently opened their indoors for private 1-on-1 training sessions. These are by appointment only and no gym membership fee is required. Contact info@basenj.com for more details. If your at-home regimen is starting to lag, or this searing heat is preventing you from exercising outdoors, this is a great way to hone your fitness regimen or jumpstart a new one. We trust that will you be in great (socially distanced) hands with any of the awesome team on trainers at Base.

60 Christopher Columbus Drive. Check out Base @basenj on Facebook and Instagram for up-to-date class and training info.
