Alfalfa Arrives in JC
Hoboken’s beloved Alfalfa has sprouted in a new location in Jersey City. It opened last month in the downtown Powerhouse Arts District. It will be the fourth location following the two California outposts in Santa Monica and Larchmont.
Everything about Alfalfa – the super-healthy food (minus the divine donuts), the warm pink décor, the IG influencer collaborations, and the young fresh fun vibe – led us to naturally think that this business was conceived on the West Coast before finding its way to New Jersey. I mean, they are bringing the business to Coachella!
But the fun fact is that the four entrepreneurs behind Alfalfa are all Hoboken natives, graduates of St. Peters Prep and lifelong friends. They left their corporate aspirations behind in search of a career that allowed them to connect with people while promoting joy and health. The salads, bowls, wraps, breakfast burritos and drinks all reflect that ethos and most of all, taste delicious. Because at the end of the day, good vibes aside, that is what makes this business sustainable.
