Speedy’s a Perfect Go-To in Paulus Hook

Speedy’s Burgers and Bowls opened last year in Paulus Hook and has quickly established itself as a go-to for high quality food that is prepared quickly with quality ingredients that are not frozen or heavily processed. While the menu is originally designed to be grab and go, there are some tables, and the ambiance is quite delightful as Speedy’s is located on a quiet stretch of Morris St. across from our beloved Bistro La Source.

The signature Speedy’s Burger is a Pat LaFrieda blend topped with LTO, white cheddar and Speedy’s signature sauce created by co-owner, JC resident and Chef Juan Batista, who also mans the kitchen at The Warren, a rather fancy gastropub in the West Village. There is a downsized kiddie option available too as well as a veggie version made with an eggplant-based patty. Check out the Cajun Chicken and the Steelhead Salmon Burgers as well if you need a break from beef.

There are five super healthy bowls on the menu – the Quinoa, Field Greens, Cantina Chicken, Salmon Poke and brand-new Vegan Masala Bowl are all full of fresh ingredients and tasty homemade dressings. Protein add-ons are available as well.

Speedy’s has expanded the menu since opening and now also serve super tasty nachos, tacos and burritos. And to top it all off, there is soft-serve ice cream. What more could we want?

Open 11am – 9pm 7 days a week. 84.5 Morris St. @speedysjc
