Bastille Day Brings it to JC

Fellow Francophiles, join us in celebrating Bastille Day here in JC! And why not - we all hold the proud distinction of being part of the most diverse City in the U.S., and that includes having a large and vibrant community of French expats who make our town all the more special.  We expect to see many of them at this year’s Bastille Day celebration, hosted by the French American Academy on 3rd St. Beloved French food and wine purveyors like Madame Claude Bis, Vogue Café, La Cote, Choc Au Pain and more will line up on 3rd St. to sell staples like pain au chocolat, macaroons, quiche, savory crepes, baguettes and French cheeses. Thirsty parents can sip on a glass of Burgundy, Bordeaux, or a French beer or cider, while their kiddos enjoy bouncy houses, games and music geared towards their entertainment. There’s also dance, music and mime performances for folks of all ages.

While the event is free for all, there is a VIP ticket option. For the wee price of $20, you can enjoy champagne and cheese while watching the Tour De France.

When: Saturday, July 13 from 11am to 6pm

Where: The French American Academy, 209 3rd St.
