This Summer, Savor the Sweet Sounds of Byron Stingily
We’ve written before about the free summer concerts and movie series in JC parks. This year, the ante is definitely upped with the 2019 Summer in the City Series. In the sea of outdoor movies, music, and dance performances on offer, there is one we are particularly excited about!
Byron Stingily, a house music legend, is performing on July 18, from 6pm – 8pm, as part of the Berry Lane Park Concert Series, which runs in July and August. Dance music aficionados of a certain age (like us!) revere him as the amazing falsetto voice in Ten City, singing soulful house music anthems like “That’s the Way Love Is”, “Devotion” and “Right Back to You.” Throughout his many years performing as a solo artist, he’s created iconic dance music classics including “Just a Little Bit”, “Sing-A-Song”, “Love You the Right Way” and “Get Up”. Plus, he’s worked with so many greats in this genre of music, including Marshall Jefferson, Incognito and Kim English. Today, he continues to write and produce music for artists across the globe. So, whether you’re a house head or not, don’t miss your chance to watch this world-class artist at work in JC. We bet this performance will be among the most sentimental, melodic and soulful performance of the summer. See you there!
