Fresh Start, New Home for L’Atelier du Chocolat


 
 

We have posted before about our love for this supreme chocolate shop in Jersey City. Back in the day they were located at 321 Marin Boulevard and after surviving multiple challenges borne out of the pandemic, they are now re-opened for business at a fabulous new location at 251 Newark Ave. While the location has changed, you can still enjoy and expect the same first class desserts from famed chocalatier Eric Girerd and his wonderful staff.      

Girerd is a Jersey resident and native of Annecy, France who worked in 3-star Michelin restaraurants around the world before opening his first retail store in NYC in 2002. Big plaudits followed. His shop was recognized in 2013 by the New York Times as having one of the best sea salt caramels in America and the following year made it to the top ten list list of best chocolatiers in North America by Dessert Professional Magazine.

Of course, taste is everything. So come taste! And congrats on the new beginning.
