Scrabble. In-ground pools. Bikes. Three items that became impossible to find in 2020. Ok we can live without the pool (ha) and we play Scrabble online. But a bike is so essential these days. Leave it to our favorite full-service bike shop in town – Jersey City Bicycle Co – to come to the rescue. Back in June, this McGinley Square based business (687 Montgomery Street to be exact) opened a pop-up shop in Hamilton Park, sourcing and selling used bikes of all kinds. We have just learned they are extending their lease for at least six more months. While they will soon be adding brand new bikes to their inventory, we encourage all you bike enthusiasts to check out the very cool collection of used bikes – including stylin’ vintage brands, fold up bikes, hybrid rides, and bikes for kids of all ages.

When it is time to tune up your new bike – or tend to your existing one – we strongly recommend a servicing at the Montgomery Street location. You can book a tune-up via their website https://www.jcbicycleco.com/calendar and choose from a quick 15 minute job or a more extensive servicing based on your needs, taking anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes.

We love the passion that owner Chris and his team have for bicycles and the bike-riding community at large. As our bike lanes continue to expand in Jersey City, there is no better time to get in on the cycling action or to up your biking game. See you on the bike lanes!
