Nurish is Now Open!
We have been patiently waiting for the second outpost of Brooklyn’s beloved Nurish to open in Bergen-Lafayette. Located on Communipaw Ave, it is now fully operational after a soft opening in August. Owner Elijah M. Ball is here in person bringing the same community spirit, vibe, and super healthy and delicious foods from the original Brooklyn spot.
Plant-based meals dominate the menu, and deliciously so. Originally from the West African country of Guinea, Ball’s many years as a beloved Brooklyn restaurateur are based on his love and ability to create a huge variety of plant-heavy meals and fruit and vegetable drinks, but also his ability to deliver delicious meals with animal and fish protein that respects the ingredients as well as the result.
There are also wonderful coffee drinks with beans sourced from Partners in Brooklyn, and a huge selection of smoothies and cold-pressed juices. The staff is super nice and the menu has a huge range of salads, sandwiches, and bowls that will please anyone. Nurish is such a great addition to Jersey City – please check them out!
