Saigon Bistro – Southern Vietnamese Specialties in the Heights

It has been a mere three months since Saigon Bistro opened shop on Central Avenue. In that short time, they have built quite a following for their authentic Southern Vietnamese and Asian Fusion dishes.  The biggest buzz among friends and online reviewers is for their Pho – rich bowls of broth seasoned with aromatic spices and filled with your choice of beef, brisket, meatballs, shrimp, pork, chicken, and plenty of veggies.

We really enjoyed the Viet-style chicken wings – battered in-house and topped with garlic, caramel sauce, chili, peppers, and a smattering of peanuts. Another one our favorite dishes is the Banh Mi – a Vietnamese sandwich served on a fresh toasted baguette with liver pate, mayo, cilantro, pickled carrots, and daikon. Pick your protein to pack the sandwich – be it pork, chicken, beef or tofu and mushroom. The resulting Banh Mi is savory, tender, and super-flavorful.

Saigon Bistro is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11:30 am to 9pm except for Fridays, when they open at 4pm. As of now they are open for takeout, dine-in and delivery. Check them out!
