Cheers to the Ever-Popular P & K
We would like to start out 2021 with a long-overdue shoutout to one of Downtown’s most beloved businesses, P & K Fruit Market. There is something for everyone at this family-run neighborhood institution, which explains its enduring appeal. Products are beautifully stocked and arranged like a classic NYC bodega. Our foodie friends universally rave about the expansive range of super-fresh, high-quality produce. We concur! Looking for something hard to find – fresh jicama? Quince? They have it. Among the rows of basic grocery staples, you will also find plenty of specialty stuff – gluten-free products, vegetarian and vegan meals, any type of tea you could want, Asian cooking ingredients, specialty coffees, cookies, and a gorgeous selection of tasteful flowers. There is also plenty of organic groceries and body products, and a really large selection of specialty chocolate.
We are grateful to have P & K Fruit Market in the neighborhood – a walkable, great-quality grocery store like this really does make a difference in our daily quality of life. That it is family-owned and has endured so many changes in the City makes it all the better. Of course, we are also grateful for the many new businesses that miraculously sprouted up here last year (last year – doesn’t that have a nice ring to it?!). Here is to all the small businesses in Jersey City. May 2021 and beyond find you prosperous and well!
