Shout out this month to a very special small business over. Hien “Sophie” Nguyen, along with her husband Trong owns and operates Sophie’s Nail Studio in the Powerhouse Arts District (PAD). Since opening a little over a year ago, Sophie has cultivated a strong loyal clientele in a highly saturated market.
There is a famous adage in business – Do One Thing and Do it Exceptionally Well. That credo explains Sophie’s in a nutshell. While many nail salons perform ancillary services like waxes, threading, massage, etc., Sophie’s focuses exclusively on nails. This was a potentially risky move that has paid off completely.
