Volunteer with Angela CARES at Thanksgiving and Beyond

Looking for a wonderful volunteer organization to link up with over the holiday season? Look no further than Angela CARES, Inc. This non-profit organization run by Assemblywoman Angela McKnight provides advocacy and support for senior citizens, caregivers, youth volunteers, and the Hudson County community at large since 2011.

Assemblywoman McKnight and her team are devoted to helping our seniors with both social and basic needs. Since the pandemic, AngelaCARES has been delivering 250-400 bags of groceries to seniors on a weekly basis. For Thanksgiving, AngelaCARES will be preparing, packing, and delivering Thanksgiving meals to hundreds of homebound Seniors in the surrounding community. This opportunity is great for volunteers that are quick on their feet, flexible, and willing to step in where needed.

Currently there are 1-hour slots available on Wednesday Nov. 25 from 3pm to 6pm.

Need-To-Know:

  • Volunteers will receive a brief orientation upon arrival.

  • Volunteers should wear clothes they feel comfortable working in.

  • Volunteers should be both patient and flexible in each task.

  • Street parking is available.
