Welcome to our OZU Obsession
Yes, we are more than a little obsessed with OZU Foods, a seasonal Japanese restaurant on Hutton St. This tiny spot with big, fresh flavors has been open since 2015. They currently offer free delivery in the Heights and pickup for those outside the neighborhood. The food – sushi, sashimi, soup, bento boxes, curries, ramen, and more is equal parts delicious and healthy.
Our favorite sushi includes the Godzilla Roll – shrimp, avocado, cream cheese and spicy mayo, and the Triple Threat – salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and scallion. On the noodle front, the Ozu Ramen is outstanding, as is the Yaki Soba. We also love the Vegan Soba noodle - one of the 4 vegan entrees, all served cold.
Specials include Butternut Squash Soup, Roasted Spiced Sweet Potato with a sesame cream sauce, and Soft-Shell Crab. The Bento boxes - chicken, beef, Japanese-Style rib, seafood, and vegetarian options, all come with sauteed vegetables, salad, pickles, and rice.
As of now, Ozu is open Wednesday through Friday from 5pm – 9:30pm and Saturday and Sunday from 4pm – 9:30pm. Again, delivery through OZU is currently in the Heights only. They do sometimes work with UberEATS for delivery throughout the City but ordering for pickup is the most reliable and standard option now. Check their website https://ozufoods.com/ and Facebook and Instagram pages @ozufoods for updates. Enjoy!
