Better Days now Open on the Plaza
The team behind 143 Social – the basement speakeasy on 143 Newark Ave. on the Pedestrian Plaza, have opened a new project upstairs on ground level.
Better Days replaces the Bareburger which recently closed after a year or so in operation. It is a full-service bar in the long and narrow front area, with a larger dining room in the back. The food menu expands upon the light bites offered downstairs, offering more substantial and elevated comfort/bar food.
Looking to have some wings while watching a game on the massive flat screen TVs? Check out the Moroccan Fried Chicken – served with pickled red onions, herb yogurt and garlic naan or the Jerk Chicken Wings with a pineapple glaze, scallions and chili threads. Everything is super shareable – choose from the vegetable sides and salads, the burgers and sandwiches, small and large plates and the pastas. We love the presentation (and taste, of course) of the Lasagna Pinwheels which is made with housemade fresh pasta, Bolognese sauce, bechamel and mozzarella.
Better Days is also serving a weekend brunch and has a live DJ on the weekends as well. Wishing this team continued and well-deserved success!
