Café Esme

We fell in love with this sweet, Parisian-inspired café when they opened back in 2019. Feels so long ago, right?

Located on the corner of Marin Boulevard and 8TH Street, it was the perfect pre-PATH-boarding stop for commuters to grab coffee and breakfast, while others loved to linger in the spacious outdoor seating within the adjacent park. The outdoor seating is now re-opened, and you can continue to order from the breakfast and lunch menus via Seamless and Grubhub.

Café Esme has a lovely range of espressos, coffees, fresh-squeezed juices, pastries, homemade crepes, sandwiches, and soups. Our favorite specialty coffee drinks include the Rose and the Lavender Lattes and the Nitro Cold Brew Coffee. Along with the great selection of fresh juices, we love the homemade Lemonade, such a feel-good and refreshing summer favorite.

Breakfast options are homemade oatmeal with fruit, yoghurt parfait, freshly made crepes, bagels, croissants, and the Morning Wrap filled with cage-free eggs, ham, and cheese.

In true Parisian bistro food fashion, eggs feature prominently on the Lunch menu. The Omelet Au Fromage Plate consists of 2 cage-free scrambled eggs with Gruyere and vegetables, with arugula on the side. The Esme Speciale Plate serves them sunny side up, with baked ham and 7 grain toast.

Sandwich options include the Saumon Fume – smoked salmon with cream cheese, Bermuda onion and tomato, the Croissant Prosciutto Mozzarella, and the Eggs Benedict served on focaccia. The two vegetarian Paninis are both super popular, both served with plantain chips.

There is also a Kids Menu with items like grilled cheese and PB &J sandwiches and a Nutella and banana-filled baguette.

Café Esme is open Monday – Sunday from 9am to 4pm.
