Now open in Hamilton Park - Cangiano’s Marketplace, a small, family-owned Italian deli and grocery with century-old roots in Brooklyn. The owners made the decision to open this April so that residents could have a walkable option to stock up on produce, grocery essentials, Italian cheeses, meats (prepared by the in-house butcher), sandwiches, fresh semolina and stuffed breads, desserts, and an assortment of delicious and cold prepared food to go.

There are bagels for breakfast and freshly baked bread comes out of the oven all day. For lunch, we love the sweet Kale Salad with goat cheese and cranberries and order by the pound (or 2). There is a nice assortment of rice balls, stuffed with either meat or a four-cheese blend. The grilled chicken breasts, tenders, and parmigiana all make a nice easy meal paired with the perfectly steamed broccoli or broccoli rabe.  We also love the eggplant rollatini and the meatballs. In the mood for a sandwich?  There are 16 Italian Sub-style classics to choose from. Among our favorites are the #1: imported prosciutto with mozzarella, sun-dried peppers, olive oil and balsamic glaze and the #8: mozzarella, broccoli rabe, olive oil, salt, and pepper – simple perfection. There is also a good selection of gluten-free groceries. Oh, back to dessert. We indulged in a freshly made slice of tiramisu – my oh my. Now is not the time to deprive yourself of such greatness. Enjoy responsibly, of course, with required face covering and by observing social distancing practices. Pre-ordered curbside pick-up is available too – call 201-984-2212.
