Ice Cream Sandwiches for All!
Another niche ice cream store has come to Jersey City. Located in the Heights, Stack Creamery is a family-business devoted to the art of ice cream. The 3 siblings who opened Stack used to live in Jersey City for 6 years. Going further back, they all remember fondly being obsessed with ice cream sandwiches in their youth.
The ice cream sandwiches here are delicious and so much fun to order. That is because the cookies are made from scratch, the ice cream flavors are all premium and locally made, and you can totally customize your sandwich. Choose between a dozen original recipe cookies for your top and bottom, then pick your ice cream (so much to choose from) and add your own toppings.
The little kid in me opted for a Death by Chocolate cookie on top and a Snickerdoodle cookie on bottom. For my ice cream, I went with Sea Salt Caramel Pretzel and then topped it all off with Coco Pebbles. It was delicious, but of course to each their own. Check out their website for the many, many options available and if you are vegan, not to worry – there are yummy offerings like peanut butter and jelly and lemon Italian Ice.
And there is more. You can also have your ice cream sandwich made with glazed donuts. There is also ice cream served straight up in cones or in a cup, ice cream pies and ice cream available to go by the pint.
Stack Creamery is a fun addition to the city, just in time with this scorching summer. They are open from Monday to Thursday from 12PM to 10PM, and 12PM to 11PM on the weekends.
