KO Café – Come for Coffee and to Get it Done

KO Café is one of the coolest niche businesses to open in Jersey City this year. Located on Grand St. in Bergen-Lafayette, it is many things.

For one it is a beautiful coffee shop. African-inspired in both décor and in coffee, the beans are responsibly sourced from Africa and can also be purchased to go. There is a nice selection of snacks to enjoy with your coffee, and it’s a very pleasant place to sit. What’s so nice is that the five friends/family members who opened this shop are passionate about promoting others to be entrepreneurial. If you are looking to go out on your own, this is such a welcoming place to come in with your laptop and put your dreams to work.

It is also a space to rent for company or private events, pop-up shops, art exhibitions, etc.  Rates are beyond reasonable ($25 an hour?!) and include a nice little kitchenette area along with the beautifully designed lounge. The space can be rented until 11:00 pm.

It is also a podcasting studio! If you are looking for your podcast to be viewed as well as listened to, this is a great option visually (superb lighting) and economically. The podcast studio is fully equipped but you are also welcome to bring your own gear. Follow them on IG @kocafejc or just walk on in to learn more. They are the nicest!
