LaKoet – Simply the Best

There is no limit to the nice things to say about LaKoet Salon.

For one, owner Kitty Varco is a creative genius. A native of Buffalo, NY, she is an expert hair colorist and cutter. She is also an amazing maker of products. Yes, LaKoet supplies top notch brands that like their own are cruelty free and natural. But no offense to those brands, it’s the LaKoet line of products that we are addicted to. Any discussion of LaKoet would be remiss if we did not discuss the wonder that is Kitty’s Blue Dew Moringa Oil. Once you have it, you can’t live without it. A beautiful blue bottle of oils to be rubbed between your hands before applying to your strands. It smells incredible, makes your hair super soft and shiny, and is the perfect gift for any hair aficionado. But like us you may be too selfish (rightly so) to give as a gift. This product sells out as soon as it stocks up. Kitty also created an amazing range of natural soaps and hair salves. Covid didn’t stop her creative process – in fact, it encouraged her to create more products to soothe her clients’ hairs and nerves during the last year. New soaps, hair masks, you name it.

Kitty is also a resilient and forward-thinking entrepreneur, like so many other women in the JC beauty business. We have written before about her fabulous spa Gaia’s Cavern.  She has also opened LaKoet Deux – an extension of her business located nearby on Jersey Ave.

All these locations provide clients with incredible service. Kitty has assembled a team that reflect and share her belief in organic beauty, precision work and an excellent customer service experience. Hair is so important to how we feel. It’s undeniable and you can explore any direction here - straightforward cuts, curly hair cuts, single process, balayage, advanced color, extensions, hair treatments, etc. We love you LaKoet and thanks for being here!
