Le Coffee Café in JC

What a pleasant surprise to come across a Le Coffee Café in Jersey City. Since 2013, this growing coffee chain has been opening spacious and super-stylish cafes in some of the most iconic and desirable locations across Manhattan. Their first venture outside their 12 NYC locales is at 444 Warren St. at the base of the VYV residential building.

Like all their counterparts, this café is gorgeous – all warm wood and spacious inviting seating areas. It’s a perfect place to linger with one of the many expertly made coffee or tea drinks and grab breakfast or lunch while you are at it. For something on the lighter side there is fruits, yogurts and oatmeal. For something a little more substantial, check out the yummy selection of pastries, toasts and bagel plates.  We love the Zaatar “pizza” – tomato, olive and cream cheese flaked with za’atar and nestled in a multigrain pastry or served on a bagel for a larger plate. We also just love La Fromage Bagel – whipped cream cheese with pink salt, sesame seeds and olive oil. In the mood for something even more substantial? Go for the Home Run - herbed cream cheese, Scottish salmon, hass avocado, arugula and olive oil drizzle on a sesame bagel. We love the precious little madeleines as well. While this is a chain like many other shops in the area, it has its own local vibe and is a great spot to work from or fortify yourself before heading on to the (very close) Newport PATH.
