The Light Rail Café (LRC) located at 237 Randolph Ave. is among the many food establishments throughout Jersey City that are preparing to offer outside dining service. LRC is owned by Ward F Councilman and lifelong resident Jermaine Robinson. It is a beloved, family-oriented neighborhood spot that has been giving back to the community throughout the past few months, providing meals and coffee to first responders and discounted take out and delivery orders for their regular customers.

Over a decade in business, LRC has been a community hub, hosting many events and live music nights pre-2020. In the past few months, the hard-working, experienced team have been open for takeout and delivery from 11 am – 12 am. Much of the extensive LRC menu is available and it is exactly the comfort food we have all craved these past few months. That includes everyone’s favorite shareable appetizers like nachos, wings, calamari, jumbo shrimp, etc. Other offerings include sandwiches, burgers, wraps, pasta, burgers, chicken and seafood dishes and desserts including – ahem -fried Oreos.

Thank you to Councilman Robinson and his team at LRC for all that you do for Jersey City. We look forward to a future day where we will grab a cozy seat inside, listen to great music, eat, and drink and raise a toast to you all. In the meantime, we will keep ordering and will check out the patio soon!
