Update on Emma’s in JSQ

Kris and Dan, the lovely couple behind downtown’s Latham House, have a new family-run restaurant in JC. Inspired by their daughter, her namesake restaurant recently opened at 4th Path Place in Journal Square, where PJ Ryan’s used to be. The original plan, as evidenced by their signage – Breakfast, Lunch, Supper, Brunch. Sigh. For now, Emma’s is operating Wednesdays through Sundays from 2pm – 8:30 pm. Cheer this family on and order!  You will find many of the delicious staples from Latham House, along with new items inspired by Emma and her team at City Green.

For pickup, call 201-222-1600. Delivery is offered via UberEATS. Note: until very recently Emma’s was listed as PJ Ryan’s, but they are now listed as Emma’s. We just enjoyed an order of the Cornmeal Fried Catfish Platter - with cheesy grits, garlicky greens, Cajun remoulade and slaw, and the Grilled Chicken BLAT, with perfectly salty and crispy skin-on fries. Latham House’s beloved desserts are also on the current menu, along with 5 “Drinks A Go-Go” cocktails.

We love this team of people, applaud, and support them for not only sustaining one restaurant right now but opening another one. We look forward to the full concept of Emma’s coming to fruition in days to come.
