Nuts about Café Peanut

Why? It’s a cute little café that just opened on Newark Ave. across from the City Courthouse. This cozy coffee shop is a much-welcomed addition to an area rich with great diners and authentic Indian eateries. They serve Kobrick coffee, cold brews, nitro, interesting teas and a decidedly non-coffee or tea drink called cascara.  Served on tap, it uses the seeds of the coffee cherry fruit and has sweet notes all of its own. On the food front, there are breakfast staples like bagels, egg sandwiches, and yogurt, served until 11 am. The later-day lunch menu includes an extensive list of sandwiches, salads and wraps that are sure to appease any of us stuck at jury duty, or just visiting the neighborhood.
