Your Table is Ready on Claremont
Our friends at Latham House recently opened a grand new restaurant in the West Side. Table is located on the ground floor of the 3Acres residential building directly across from the West Side Light Rail Stop. The space is huge and airy with a large dining area, a full bar replete with multiple flat screen TVs and a separate lounge area with sofas galore. Note: This is an excellent event space if you are looking for one.
The elevated comfort food and creative cocktail menus are top notch and exactly what you would expect from Dan Latham and his team. Our favorite shared plates are the hand-made Burrata with garlic bread and the Crispy Cauliflower with a yogurt-fig-cucumber sauce and avocado salsa verde. There are burgers, 10-inch pizzas, sandwiches and salads including Latham’s Asian Salad and a delightful Greek Caesar with creamy lemon garlic dressing. Main dishes include Steak au Poivre, Braised Short Ribs, Sesame-Crusted Organic Salmon and pastas. Simply put, everything is unpretentious and delicious.
Same goes for the creations at the bar. Signature Cocktails made with Alkemist Gin include the Justice For Barb (Gin, Aperol, rhubarb, sparkling rose, torched sage and lemon) and the Big in Japan (gin, yuzu, basil, Thai chili, orange and lemon). We are partial to the refreshing Claremont – made with Unkkoded Lemon-Infused vodka, mint, cucumber and lemon. We also appreciate the Zero-Proof cocktails like the Mexican Stroll, made with rose water agave, pineapple, lime, club and a pansy flower garnish.
What a welcome addition to the already wonderful West Side.
